Susan G. Komen for the Cure receives $100,000 from Sullivan's Steakhouse

Susan G. Komen for the Cure has received a generous $100,000 donation from Sullivan's Steakhouse from their successful "Palate in the Pink" fundraiser.

In October of this year, Sullivan's offered guests a "Palate in the Pink" special, which featured a three-course meal for $39.95 of which $5 was donated from each meal directly to the charity. This year's initiative demolished their $50,000 fundraising goal and since 2009 Sullivan's has raised $270,000 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

"We're thrilled to champion a worthwhile cause, and we could not successfully do so without the generosity of our guests who have dined with us to make a significant impact on the women, men, and families affected by this disease," said Mark S. Mednansky, CEO of Del Frisco's Restaurant Group.

Sullivan's Steakhouse plans to continue their breast cancer fundraising promotions in the future and will look to best this year's total in the coming year.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure has donated more than $1.5 billion dollars to breast cancer research and is the world's largest breast cancer organization.
